As a testament to its rich watchmaking pedigree, MIDO has never failed to disappoint watch aficionados as well as new customers alike with its wide repertoire of durable and aesthetically pleasing timepieces. The brand’s new Multifort Powerwind Chronometer (LIMITED EDITION M040.408.11.041.00) is no exception.
Mido Multifort Powerwind - Ltd Ed 1954pcs Ref. M040.408.11.041.00 |
This 1954-piece limited edition can derive its name from the eminent « Powerwind » model launched in 1954, which was MIDO’s most accurate and trustworthy movement back then. Today, MIDO has installed the most superior technology available to the new Multifort Swiss watch with its COSC-certified chronometer movement.
Watch enthusiasts would be delighted to realize that this idiosyncratic timepiece takes a leaf from the Multiforts of yesteryears. Splashes of rose gold cover the hour circle, diamond-crafted hands and applied indexes. The satin-finished sunray domed dial boasts a deep midnight blue that alludes to bygone times. Both midnight blue and rose gold hues are juxtaposed against one another under the aegis of a sapphire crystal “glassbox”. This regally coloured dial has the original Powerwind name and MIDO logo engraved in it, with rice bracelet beats extending from the satin-finished steel case to culminate the look. Also, White Super-LumiNova® is generously applied to the hour, minute hands, the 12 points and quarter-hour indexes for round-the-clock readability.
