The Combat SUB Vintage 42 Full-Black Ref. GL0290, introduced since the fall of 2019, presents a modern interpretation with a sleek black PVD-coated case and a nod to the past through an "explorer" textured dial reminiscent of the early '60s. Crafted from 316L stainless steel, the watch measures 42mm in diameter and 10.6mm in thickness, ensuring exceptional comfort on all wrist sizes. The unique downward-curving lugs contribute to a snug fit, reminiscent of a pair of gloves. 

Unique Curved Lugs for a Comfortable Fit

Performance meets aesthetics with the large screw-down crown, facilitating easy grip and smooth operation. Entirely hand-finished and Made in Switzerland, the watch features a full-satin finished case, providing a personalized touch while maintaining the synonymous Glycine style. The unidirectional rotating bezel with 60 clicks clicks positively in place, adorned with golden markers and a gilded red triangle pip at 12 o'clock, paying homage to the vintage theme.

Water-resistant up to 200m, the Combat Sub boasts a sapphire crystal with three layers of anti-reflective coating, ensuring clarity under various lighting conditions. The vintage theme extends to the "sandy" textured dial, featuring bold Arabic numbers at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, a triangle-shaped hour marker at 12 o'clock, and C3 SuperLuminova for optimal glow-in-the-dark visibility. The red date display at 4 o'clock adds a vibrant touch, harmonizing with the bezel's triangle pip and the "SUB 20 ATM" lettering at 6 o'clock.

Powered by the Glycine GL224 movement, an ETA2824-2/SW200 variant, the watch operates at 28,800bph with hacking and hand-winding capabilities, boasting a power reserve of 38 hours. The Combat Sub comes with a 22mm three-link stainless steel bracelet, PVD-coated for a seamless all-black appearance. The brushed outer links and polished center links provide a touch of sophistication, complemented by a diver's clasp for an elegant yet utilitarian finish.
