From a remarkable brand demonstrating excellence in the field of German watchmaking, Damasko's timepieces are best known for their use of innovative and advanced technologies to achieve seemingly over-built specifications, they're simply built like a tank. This time, Damasko unveiled their latest DK36 line which boasts the familiar crosshair dial design with a reliable new in-house automatic movement. With this major leap forward, Damasko is truly shaking things up, and this time around, it's introducing the DK36 Olive.
The case of the Damasko DK36 Olive is made in-house by Damasko and uses ice-hardened stainless steel case. Known as one of the toughest materials used in the watch industry, the ice-hardened is steel treated with a cryogenic process to make it harder and more durable. Also known as "Nickel-free Stainless steel" the material has more resistance to corrosion and wear. An excellent choice for the construction of a durable, functional and high quality tool watch.

This durable case of the DK36 Olive achieves water resistance rating of 100m, good for everyday wear. With a tasteful diameter of 40mm, a lug-to-lug length of 48.6mm and an incredible 12.3mm thin, the watch rests extremely comfortably on the wrist, especially with its pleasing curved lugs design. The crown is also equipped with Damasko's patented lubrication cell which ensures smooth action and lubricates the shaft and the gasket.
A flat sapphire crystal protecting the dial features anti-reflective treatment on both sides which ensures maximum readability regardless of lighting conditions. Next to the dial, is the same design language employed on the Dsub1 and DC80. This time, the DK36 Olive features an olive green with a crosshair that is now synonymous with Damasko, with a different plot design. The olive colour, paired with the blasted ice-hardened steel case, provides an understated yet striking contrast.

German Precision |
The hour and minute hands of the Damasko DK36 are bold, baton-shaped and painted in white, providing a clean, crisp look that enhances the watch's sleek design. In striking contrast, the second hand is in sporty orange, providing a dynamic pop of color against the dial. The hour and minute hands are coated with a special luminous paint, ensuring excellent visibility in low light. The hour markers are also treated with Superluminova, a long-lasting luminous coating that offers exceptional brightness and ensures the watch remains legible even in complete darkness.
The main highlight of the DK36 Olive is undoubtedly its latest introduction of Damasko's impressive in-house movement. Driven by the in-house Damasko calibre A26-3 German-made automatic movement, the 20-jewel movement features a power reserve of 42 hours and a beat rate of 28,800 beats per hour. Moreover, the movement is certified to be shockproof and anti-magnetic in accordance with the DIN 8308 and 8309 standards of the Deutsches Institut für Normung - German Institute for Standardization. Adjusted in 6 positions by Damasko to achieve a high level of accuracy, this latest in-house movement is truly spectacular.

The DK36 Olive sports a 20mm Damasko military green leather strap, complemented by vintage brown stitching, perfectly complementing the olive green dial. Its Damasko-signed secure pin buckle, brings a sturdy touch to complement this amazing timepiece without neglecting its durability. And for those who love strap swapping, the DK36 has drilled through lugs for easy spring bar removal.
With Damasko's latest implementation of their very own in-house calibre in their DK36 collection, this elevates the brand to even greater heights, further embodying the precision in manufacturing the German is best known for while presenting a complete package with a formidable exterior and a mighty in-house engine. The Damasko DK36 Olive stands out as a true force in the realm of rugged, high-performance watches.
