The Steinhart Ocean 39 Vintage Red bears the vintage charm of the 1960s dive watches that, has rare minuscule details on its dial, with the combination of two additional lines of text in red along with typical ones in white. This special edition is made exclusively for Gnomon Watches and seen identical to the much recognized Ocean Vintage Red but now with a bijou sizing. The Ocean 39 Vintage Red will be made in limited production to maintain it's exclusivity.

The Steinhart Ocean 39 Vintage Red is our third expressive vintage model, where the coveted OVM39 and Explorer39 were previously released (still available). Made to the highest of Swiss standard with a genuine vintage flair, the case of the Steinhart Ocean 39 is made from 316L stainless steel. Features a satin-brushed finish on the top of the lugs and polished sides of the case, like how an old-school dive watch finished in the 1960s. This finishing follows through the stainless steel bracelet. The 39mm case has a 47mm lug-to-lug dimensions making this quite comfortable on most wrist sizes.

The charm of the Ocean 39 Vintage Red lies in the dial, and where things get interesting. With many requests from collectors, We took design cues from rare dive watches that highly sought after from the 1960s. Why is it so? It's all about the details for watch enthusiasts, coined as the "double-red" dial was first found on super rare 60s dive watches, wherein this Ocean 39 case, the "Ocean One" and "Submersible 1000" texts are printed in red, whereas the rest are in standard white tone. We strongly believe this unique application of red wordings serves a purpose, which sets out to reminds one of red color will be eliminated when submerged into the ocean beyond 5 meters, allowing the wearer to focus on all the necessary information, allowing instantaneous reading. The Steinhart signed screw-down crown is located at 3 O'clock and suitable for a water-resistant rating of 300m. The Ocean 39 Vintage Red forgoes the flat crystal with magnifying Cyclops, and instead, comes with a period-correct looking glass with modern fabrication- a domed sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective coating for added clarity under different lighting conditions. The Ocean 39 Vintage Red has a solid case back that features engravings of essential information of the watch.

The Steinhart Ocean 39 Vintage Red is powered by automatic caliber, SW200, operating at 28,800 BPH (4 Hertz) with hacking and hand winding capabilities. It has 25 jewels with a power reserve of approximately 40 hours.

The Steinhart Ocean 39 Vintage Red comes with a satin-brushed stainless steel bracelet with screw links and flip-lock. Unique to the Ocean 39 Vintage Red is, of course, the new 20mm bracelet which tapers to 16mm. Makes the 39mm model look much more refined and elegant.
