The stainless-steel case of the Oris Aquis Date features a blend of polished mirror finish and satin brushed throughout to give the watch depth. To top it up, the Aquis Date uses a scratch-proof doomed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment for added toughness and clarity. All whilst being held together with a Oris embossed screwed down caseback. The case size measures at 41.5mm in diameter, 12.9mm in thickness, 49mm from lug-to-lug - lending a versatile profile for most men for this iconic piece. Finishing the aesthetic of the case with a matching black bezel.
 
The idea behind the black dial is to make the watch a versatile go-anywhere, do anything kind of watch. The applied hourly indices are accompanied by lume filled hands, ensuring ease of time reading. Balancing the watch beautifully is the "ORIS" written at the 12 and the date complication at the 6 which is accompanied by "SWISS MADE" and the water resistant specs. The Aquis Date diver is powered by the Oris's 733-1 automatic winding movement, which is based on SW200-1. It is a 26 jewelled movement that beats at 28800vph or 4Hz with a 41 hours power reserve.
