This Khaki collection is the epitome of best value Swiss manufacturing timepieces today. Strong history known that radiates robustness and reliability, no wonder even from elite collectors to those starting their watch collecting journey, would still favor and appreciate a solidly built all-rounder collection that Khaki watch provides.
The Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman, their ultimate military diver with its unmistakable screw cap over its crown, derives deep from its roots, keeping this form follows function scenario oh-too-well for more than 70 years. The Khaki Navy Frogman traces its history back to 1943 when a formal unit called Naval Combat Demolition Units (NCDUs)- the first US Navy underwater demolition teams, whose mission was to clear mines in preparation for land invasions. For their missions, of course, a diving timepiece will be essential. Thus NCDUs were provided with Hamilton’s waterproof wristwatches that featured this particular screw cap to help prevent water from entering the movement. Furthermore, The Khaki Navy Frogman was one of the pioneer timepieces that Hamilton features in movies, with this model being fitting in the 1951 film called “The Frogmen”.

The “Frogman” moniker and the unusual styling of its locking mechanism, endured throughout the years. Today, the latest Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman Red on Rubber Ref. H77725335 will be the most up-to-date military diver featuring better technical perspectives with a more aggressive touch to it.
Measuring at 42mm wide and 12.5mm in height, the flagship Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman Red on Rubber Ref. H7772533 came alive with its stainless steel case is done in full satin-brushed to give it the utilitarian tool watch look. Further, at 42mm, the Khaki Navy Frogman looks aggressive but sits oh-so-well on the wrist of both men and women with versatility packed in it. The hexagon red bezel with militaristic minute markers gave it a unique look while being user-friendly as each of the six grooves is easy for the wearer to adjust even underwater. The lugs do curve down nicely, making it wearable and paired with the vital screw cap that marks the Navy Frogman what it is.
Now let’s spend a little time with the screw cap as significant upgrades done to it. The 9mm signed “big-crown” style cap attached to a two-piece arm that adjoint with each other. In addition to that, a slight extension mechanism between each arm. This was well thought out by Hamilton as it allows the cap to be screwed-in efficiently without any hassle, while to us, it looks all-time bad-ass as well.

Seen through its flat sapphire crystal, all the aspects of the dial shout legibility. The 12 o’clock markers are hand applied in Arabic font while the rest is done in baton and “cone” shapes (for 3, 6, and 9 o’clock). Minutes markers are done prominently in-between the hour markers with an unobtrusive date display in-between 4 and 5 o’clock. The minute and second hands are done in red outline to show primary readings when one dives with the Khaki Navy Frogman. Finally, all the markers and handset are filled with SuperLuminova luminescence for low light reading even when one enters the water.
The Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman Red on Rubber Ref. H77725335 technical features do not stop here. Behind its engraved case back powered a Hamilton caliber H-10 - an automatic movement with modification of the ETA caliber C07.611. The main upgrade on this 25 jewels Swiss-made movement is the bi-directional winding system by the rotor, and the power reserve pumped up to 80 hours as compared to the usual 38 hours. Date adjustment and hackable functionality to stop the movement when the crown is pulled for a precise time setting. With all this said, Hamilton truly is the few that can produce such movement upgrade on a large scale and further being well priced.

Its assertive robust tool watch look with its locking mechanism only displays it as a purposeful mechanical look.
